hello!
I’m Emily Paige, I’m a children’s illustrator based in Michigan. I grew up surrounded by art and artsy people, and it inspired me to pursue drawing in college. I studied Studio Art and Graphic Design at Oakland University, where I discovered a love for children’s illustration. My favorite projects are children’s picture books, but I also enjoy working on early-reader and middle-grade books!
When I’m not drawing, you can usually find me doing some sort of “grandma” craft hobby (crocheting or cross-stitching), or reading a cozy mystery book!
Please reach out if you’d love to work together on a project!
FAQs
-
For the most part, I use the app Procreate on my iPad with an Apple Pencil. Occasionally, I use Adobe Illustrator and InDesign for tweaks and text additions. For sketches and doodles, I try to use my traditional sketchbook as much as possible.
-
My most-used digital brushes are probably the basic Procreate 6B Pencil and Dry Ink brushes. Those are my go-to’s for sketching, coloring, and line-art. Some others that I use pretty regularly are Bonobo Chalk and Monoline.

I tend to be drawn to all things whimsical and cozy, but my favorite things to look at for inspiration are cute animals, flowers and fun patterns. When I think about the art that always catches my eye, they always feature one (or more) of these things.
